Nunc
NUNC is a Croatian design brand rooted in the Slavonia region, produced in the town of Đakovo by Ancona Grupa. It represents a new voice in Croatian design, one that translates ornamental tradition into playful, minimalist furniture.
The collection plays with contrast: rational, geometrical forms softened by natural materials, warm pastels and rich textures. Every piece reflects NUNC’s home landscape: the fertile Slavonian plains crossed by the Danube, Drava and Sava rivers, and is crafted from the region’s most iconic natural resource, Slavonian oak.
Even the names carry meaning. Each NUNC piece, from chairs and barstools to tables, bookcases and mirrors, is named using a word drawn from the region’s diverse linguistic heritage: Croatian, Serbian, German, Hungarian and Turkish. It’s a collection that turns the memory of a unique land into everyday objects.
NUNC’s craftsmanship has already been recognised internationally: the COT barstool won a BIG SEE Product Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award, and both the DIKA armchair and the ALA dining table received the German Design Award Winner previously. Onwards!
